UNICEF - Play Pump
Water is precious but very difficult to get in remote areas where ground water level is beyond 50ft and no electricity. This play-pump was designed and engineered by Sarg Design Studio and associates in 2008. All details handed over to UNICEF and made available as open-source information. Close to 60 pumps were installed in India and Africa.

Dar-es-salaam - BRTS
A Network map for a transport system is much beyond a simple graphic. It is a tool for a commuter to plan his journey and know the expanse of the system. Such a map helps in creating tacit knowledge about the network and its reach in the city.
We designed this map for the BRTS in Dar-es-Salaam. This map is in English and displayed across all the stations and terminals across the BRTS.

Joshi’s Rail Town
We designed a scaled ‘model town of tomorrow’ at the Mapro’s Food park near Wai, Maharashtra. The model setup shows a self-sufficient town with its own seamless and connected transport system, high street, a hill station and unique buildings.
Designed at a HO scale (1:87), The layout is owned by Joshi’s Museum of Miniature Railways, Pune and Sarg Design Studio designed the concept, layout, buildings and built the models.

Fair conditioning
We designed classroom learning aids which amplify and reinforce sustainable & climate responsive building design concepts for architecture students. Physical tools for students help them in complete comprehension and long-term retention of fundamental concepts of building physics, comfort cooling techniques & technologies, adaptive thermal comfort etc.

Gera’s River of Joy – Wayfinding signage
Wayfinding signage designed for Gera’s River of Joy – A child centric project at Goa. The design seeks inspiration from the river that flows next to the site and the dialogue of the town with the Sea.
The Wayfinding signage is designed across all the 3 zones for this upcoming residential development with Apartments and Villas.

PMPML Design Studio
This is a Studio-Sarg initiative. The project is setup in collaboration with the PMPML to design user centric touchpoints of the Bus transport in Pune region.
A pilot project was implemented in November 2019 and has received very good response from commuters.
The design studio is looking for funding to get this project realised making the PMPML service more user friendly.

MMRDA – Metro Mumbai
MMRDA in Mumbai is building an extensive metro network of over 150km connecting the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. It is planned to serve 70Lakh commuters. As an associate consultant, Sarg Design Studio lead the design project to deliver the central Brand Design and Style Guidelines. We designed guidelines for Maha Mumbai Metro Brand, Wayfinding signage, Station furniture, Advertising, Art program and Metro Museum.

Indic Inspirations
Souvenirs bring back exciting memories of places visited and interesting travels. India has a unique history and stories around topics in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The studio designed range of products. The collections designed till date include, Shunya, Time and Vyom series. More collections are being developed. You can visit the Indic Inspirations website and buy these products. The recently designed VYOM series includes merchandise created basis ISRO’s inspiring work on missions and space exploration.

COVID has impacted our lives and changed the way we lived. The team worked with the technical team of the client in designing an AI enabled access screen with a temperature sensor and a touchless dispensing of the sanitizer.

Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited
As an expert on transport wayfinding, Sarg Design studio team collaborated with the NMIAL project team and architects to review and redesign the signing strategy, signing principles and sign design for the multilevel car parking of the proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Railway Design Center
This is a Studio-Sarg initiative. Through this initiative the team is working on projects connected to improving experience of train travel in India. The studio believes that design intervention across all the touch points along the user journeys for people travelling by trains can be made seamless, integrated, exciting, engaging. This improved experience would become an important differentiator and would create a great impact for the 8.4 Billion people travelling in Indian Railways
